I like the Idea. I would like to see it for Powerdns. Also I think a standard approach could be used based on BIND and Powerdns RFC.

Just a note on this, we have plans to integrate with some DNS providers including PowerDNS for zone management, as a plugin.. which would allow DNS management capabilities on virtually any module. See https://dev.blesta.com/browse/CORE-3071

is a great news, but from the jira comments, the starting point is erroneous. the plugin should be attached to registrar modules and not to hosting module (Works with some modules like cPanel, DirectAdmin, Interworx). normally if we want to manage dns zone we should point the domaine to the dns server and not to the hosting server, because the hosting server also work as a dns management.

better say, we can create a integration for Cpanel, DirectAdmin, Interworx ...

finally the DNS management tab should detect registrar modules and attach it self to them.

Marking this as planned as part of https://dev.blesta.com/browse/CORE-3071 It would support PowerDNS to start with additional integrations to follow. No ETA yet, but we hope to start on it soon.
