Under Consideration
When using the affiliate system, and paying out money,
there currently is no documentation generated that can be
printed/easily included in the book/record keeping.
I'd like to suggest we need the following:
- Printable Pay-Out Statement per Affiliate Payout/Transaction
(Includes: From(us), To (affil..), Transactions( for whom commission is being paid), Amounts, Payment Method)
- Printable Monthly Report of all Affiliate Transaction and Payouts
(Aggregated summary of all affiliate statements for the month).
I like this idea
I forgot to point out that without documentation, for some users (such as pretty much most .eu businesses), affiliate payouts are not usable as business expenses.
And that could in turn lead to situation with money being spent but not being correctly recorded and documented for the books/company accounts.
In addition to Sebastian's concerns ... proper GAAP requires that the liability for affiliate commissions be listed in the accounting records when the commissions are payable.
We need reports!
It is my understanding that Blesta updates affiliate commissions daily? This is asinine and will create bookkeeping hell.
I'll look into this as well and if it's at a decent cost have it added..
