Automated update in One-Click like Wordpress.

Md.Mahmudul Hasan Tuhin shared this idea 8 years ago
Planned

Would be good for this to be built in to Blesta so it would automatically download the latest edition for our clients to download, maybe even display a notification in our Admin Area telling them a new release is available for download.

Glad this is planned.

Would be good if it only affected the "changed / updated" files .

Currently we have to overwrite every file on the server, then go back to re-implement our css changes.

Agreed. The way that Simple Machine Forums does things is via their "package manager". It is an excellent system that can be used to install Mods as well as upgrade the forum itself to the latest version, retaining your modifications made to files. It will fetch the mod or forum upgrade for you (or you can upload the package file yourself), check that the files are writeable on the server, list the files that are to be edited and then edit the files directly. It means that you can upgrade your forum without having to redo everything every time that there is an upgrade. If you are a number of versions out of date, then you have to upgrade through each release, but it is not an issue as it is automated and to be honest, that is a safer way anyway. Whoever thought of it is just genius - a brilliant system.

The caption talks all about Automated update in One-Click like Wordpress, so if you think this is what you need to go for then that would be what there are many in need will like to go for. We can hope that find startup partners will be what you can see and get to know for now as through that you can gather more details that needs to be shared with others, so just keep working in it now.

Candy Crush is a simple and sweet match 3 puzzle game that is easy to learn and play. Complete levels by swapping colored candies on the game board to match three or more candies of the same color.

Just to add, there will be a few options for the auto-updater but more will be released when it's near release.

Please implement, but also implement child templates or something, I have some small changes (force new users to use email address as username, hide the radio box), etc, and hardcoded the changes into the order form page. I didn't see any other way to do it.

Oops, I mean force new users to use username and hide email address option, not what I wrote above (which is already an option in the settings, force email as username).
