Since the automated syncing of domain prices we've noticed a lot more sales on discounted tld's, I know we can round up pricing to the nearest .xx and add markup but when a tld has an offer we find ourselves not making money as sales of those surge. Should there be a crazy discount we'd end up losing money in payment processing fees - Obviously this could be a huge issue for companies just relying upon the automated pricing!
I would suggest keeping the current system but allow the setting of a minimum price so a domain that goes to £0.99 on sale at the registrar would be capped at say £2.95 by the minimum value set. Obviously we have to factor in support and accounting costs - Even at no profit we'd lose man-hours over the year thus resulting in a net loss!
