Sebastian shared this idea 4 years ago
Under Consideration

Add a way to blacklist certain words, so that domains containing them cannot be transferred or registered thru blesta.

Beaviour:

- Staff defines list

- on domain lookup check if words from blacklist are contained in search-string.

Example:

- google

- microsoft

- gmail

- digitalocean

- hotmail

- ....

Adding a domain blacklist can help prevent registrations or transfers involving restricted brand names, email services, or internal company terms. The system should use case-insensitive matching, clear administrator controls, and an understandable warning when a domain is blocked. A domain blacklist feature would be a simple but valuable addition for domain management. Being able to block specific words during searches or registrations could help prevent trademark issues, reduce mistakes, and make the registration process much smoother for both staff and customers.

Small improvements like this often have the biggest impact on everyday workflows. If you enjoy exploring useful online resources, you can also take a look at https://fortunethor.com/.

A domain-management blacklist could help prevent domains containing restricted words from being transferred or registered through the platform. Clear matching rules, exceptions, and administrator controls would make the feature more reliable and easier to manage. More related content is available at https://moja.bet/.

A domain blacklist can help reduce unwanted registrations and improve platform moderation, especially when it supports flexible keyword matching and regular updates. Clear review rules are also important to prevent legitimate domains from being blocked by mistake. More technology-related content and online entertainment are available at https://spinanias.net/.

This sounds like a very useful feature for domain management and could help prevent accidental registrations or transfers involving protected names and restricted terms. A customizable blacklist would give administrators more control while reducing potential legal and security issues. It would be great if the system also allowed flexible rules, such as exact matches or partial word detection, depending on the user’s needs.
