The ability to retire products (Remove them from admin side lists)

Old products remain in admin side lists making it difficult to scroll through with many products filling the space.

you can disable the product and make them inactive .

Disabling a product doesn't remove it from admin side lists, Coupons for example.

Where else besides coupons do inactive packages appear for you that you are concerned about? The solution here may be that only active packages are selected for some of these lists.

Package option groups, I can't remember off the top of my head if there are any others.
