The API allows you to retrieve a client by their database ID. It would be great to be able to retrieve a client by their 'friendly' ID (the one displayed in the client/admin UI) i.e. id_value/id_code.
My particular use case is for automating the registration of client transactions via the API when the client provides their ID (customer Number) from their invoices or client dashboard.
